let the sun shine in

Kathleen Doyle (she of the cutest blog evah), passed along the Sunshine Award to me. I have to say, I am very grateful for this happy little award today because the mid-winter doldrums are hitting me hard and I need a little sunshine! So thank you Kathleen!

A long time ago I stopped handing out the awards as they came my way because I hate choosing who gets it. You are ALL fabulous! So if you want to write a happy little post about the Sunshine Award, go ahead and grab the button and then take a piece of happy back to your own blog. Just email me or leave a comment here so I can come visit when you post about it!

And now the personal questions that came along with this award . . .

Favorite Color: Pink. (Or purple!)

Favorite Animal: I have dogs and a cat and even four turtles, but the animal I really wish I had is a horse. They are my favorite animal by faaaaarrrrrr.

Favorite Number: 7 or 11. It's a numerology thing. ;)

Favorite Non-Alcoholic Drink: I love Vanilla Coke Zero!

Facebook or Twitter: How to decide? I love both for different reasons.

My Passions: Wow, we've got this list of pretty superficial questions and this heavy-hitter here. Okay, (rolls up sleeves), let's see . . .

I am passionate about my children and my husband. I have very strong opinions about parenting and marriage. I'm also passionate about my faith and the part it plays in my life.

Of course there's my friends, my sister, my writing and music, too!

Getting or Giving Presents: I have to say that I'm not a very good gift-giver. I love to DO it, but I suffer a lot of self-doubt over the choice of the gift. I do love getting gifts though!

Favorite Pattern: That's kind of random. Let's see . . . I love the dappled pattern sunshine makes through leaves. Or the silver of white-caps that sparkle in the sun.

Favorite Day of the Week: Saturdays. I love the more relaxed feel of the day. We often do stuff together as a family, too, and I love that.

Favorite Flower: The daisy. It's just so happy, bright and fresh. :)

And there you have it! Everything you never cared to know about me, lol.

Now I want to know what you are passionate about. Care to share?

Passionate about my family. They are everything to me. After that, writing without a question. Daisy is my favorite flower too - in fact it was my wedding flower:)

I'm passionate about teaching my students to THINK. Not circle little letters of the alphabet. Nothing challenges me more than "I don't know (translate "I don't care.")"

My passion for my daughter and my spiritual journey are beyond quantifying so they would certainly fall in the passionate category. But mostly just my reading and writing. I know, such a bookworm :-)

Hi, ali,

SURPRISE... I know ages go by, but we always seem to connect one way or another.

Congrats on the SUNSHINE award.... You always bring sunshine to your Ninjas on a daily basis...

I will try to send some sunshine for you from here. I am in Key West, Florida soaking up every inch of it... LOVE the sun and periwinkle blue skies peeking through the swaying palm trees.

Have a great Saturday,,,
