HI, ali, Hi Laura,

I uses several of these tips and they work well for me, especially exercise. It definitely clears out your head and story lines flood the brain.

It is so hard these days to stay focused, but thankfully we have great tips for awesome NInjas on a daily basis. As Alex had suggested blogging is a GREAT way to get much needed inspiration.

Angie, that's exactly where I am too. My writing has to be #1 (or, at least just beneath family stuff, but nothing else non-family gets that number one spot). I have to say, that things have gone much better for me since adopting this attitude.

I started out with something small and easy to reach like 500 words. I did that for a month, then added more words each month until I was where I wanted to be. A gradual increase is less stressful. Good luck!

This is a very good post. I love the tips, especially the idea of getting the "mind traffic jam" out of your head by making a list of errands and tasks. That could be great for just simply starting your day on a good foot, relieving your mind of concerns and giving order to the chaos.

I liked that too, and have to agree. When I write to, but don't overly exceed, my writing goals, I am READY to write at the next session without any hesitation. It also guarantees (mostly, lol) that I won't skip my next writing session. :)

I stay committed by setting deadlines and goals, but also by "getting out!" Yeah - people inspire me. Life inspires me. And if I spend too much time behind the keyboard, I get bored! That's when it's time to "get out!"
